From the dynamics to the ecology of the North-East Atlantic common dolphin population

 I am currently a PhD student at the “Observatoire Pelagis” and the “Centre d’Etudes Biologique de Chizé. My work is focused on understanding the common dolphin ecology within in the North-East Atlantic waters. To do so, I combine different approaches such as demography, study of the link between oceanography and dolphin mortality and the analysis of fishing data from French observer programmes. Associated to this work, I produce biological indicators to assess the state of the common dolphin population. Moreover, I use conservation tools to define conservation thresholds (example: Bycatch) in order to help decision-makers in conservation decisions assessment
