Promoting conservation of marine mammals in France

he Raymond Duguy Prize helps to support or enhance the value of an ongoing project on the monitoring and conservation of marine mammals in France carried out by partners or correspondents of the French Stranding Network.

The winning project must also be in line with the “Raymond Duguy philosophy”, i.e. it must be based on the concept of participatory or citizen science and be sustainable. The evaluation criteria will focus on the quality and rigour of the actions carried out, their duration, their scope for the conservation of marine mammals, the long-term perspectives and the proposed use of the prize.

The deadline for this call for applications is 1 October 2021, and the €1,500 prize will be awarded in La Rochelle during the annual seminar in November 2020. Private structures, research laboratories and public institutions may not apply; the use of the prize must not contribute to salary.
